What is the Chemical Peel treatment process like?

Enjoy an hour of relaxation and leave Vamped Cosmetics feeling a deep clean and radiant glow. Cleanse, tone, exfoliate and neutralize the skin with several methods including lactic peels for deep congestion, carbon peels to lift debris and toxins with activated charcoal, and diamond-tipped microdermabrasion to remove dead skin cells to reveal healthy new skin underneath.

Looking for all of the above in one great treatment? Try our famous SilkPeel™! With its vortex system, the SilkPeel exfoliates with a diamond-tip handpiece while infusing customized serums into the skin and suctioning all of the dead cells and toxins from deep within the dermis all at the same time. Once completed, all the debris can visibly be seen in the canister for immediate satisfaction.

For even deeper penetration of all of these peels, pair them with a dermaplaning session or enjoy it on its own. Dermaplaning is the manual removal of dead skin cells and peach fuzz with a sterile blade to reveal a fresh new layer of skin which allows deeper absorption of serums and treatments.

Where can Chemical Peels be used?

The most common area for medical-grade facials is the face. Other areas include:

● Neck and chest

● Hands

● Buttocks and back of legs

● Shoulders and upper arms

How many Chemical Peel treatments do I need?

For longer-lasting and more significant results, 3 to 6 sessions spaced out 3 to 4 weeks apart are required. Maintenance treatments every couple of months are encouraged.

What are the common side effects of medical-grade facials?

You may appear slightly flushed and red in the treatment area right after your appointment, though these effects should disappear within half an hour. Although rare, some less common side effects include:

● Prolonged redness and heat

● Scratches or light scabbing

● Burns and peeling

How do I prep before and after my Chemical Peel treatment?

It is important to disclose your current skincare routine and medications prior to treatment to avoid potential adverse reactions. Tanning and using products such as acid-based cleansers and serums, retinol and skin-bleaching ointments should be stopped 3 days before and after treatment. Please consult your dermatologist if on prescribed acne or skin medications prior to receiving treatment. Working out and taking hot showers immediately after treatment should be avoided.
